This weekend I went backpacking with our Troop up the middle fork trail out of Lytle Creek. For some of the boys this was their first backpacking experience.
We hiked 3 miles (6 round trip) and gained 1000 feet in altitude on the way up. This quite an accomplishment when you realize these boys were carrying on average of 25 to 35 pounds.
Tomorrow I'll post more and show you what we saw when we got to our camp.

Darren...6 miles with a backpack, I really have respect for you and all the boys. It is not easy, but so rewarding when you're done. Looking forward to more pix! See ya lunch, Tuesday???
